Moe Gámez (they/them/elle) is a scholar of queer and trans latinx ecologies. Raised in Wilmington & San Pedro, California, they currently reside in Eugene, Oregon where they are a PhD candidate in English with a graduate certificate in Indigenous, Race, and Ethnic studies at the University of Oregon. 

Their scholarship is situated in critical environmental justice humanities, racial ecologies, queer and trans of color critique, and Latinx environmentalisms. They are currently working on their dissertation titled, Queer and Trans Latinx Ecologies: Environmental Affect and Embodiment Beyond Survival, which was recently awarded a dissertation fellowship from the Center for Environmental Futures. They are also a core member of the Tierra Viva Collaborative, the Racial Ecologies Lab, and the Environmental Justice Storytelling Lab, all spaces that work to support collaboration across disciplines and for environmentally just futures.
